Hybrid IT is the talk of the town – Cloud and On-Premises are coexisting and are being monitored, managed and utilized parallelly. The market is moving towards an era where technical transformation will be driven through a Hybrid approach. To harness this transformation, enterprises are required to manage multiple applications and identities that spans across on-premises and on cloud.
The tide is turning towards deployments of systems and tools that brings down complexity and risk. Creating consistency across platforms, enabling compliance with regulatory needs and ensuring seamless user experience. With wide-spread adoption of cloud based technology, there is a paradigm shift in management of technology, processes and applications within an organization.
Businesses are reaping benefits of cloud and maintaining their legacy systems and that’s the way to go. At the same time management of hybrid setup is often not strategic. As an approach duplicity is considered normal – and manual intervention to sort duplicity is considered the only way out. At the outset it may seem fine, but there are massive man-hours being logged into the system – and that’s a huge business cost for a task that should ideally be automated.
The same tasks are ‘required’ to be done on both the platforms. The challenge is systematic in nature – Cloud and On-Premises have different setup – in terms of approach, resources and skills of people managing them.
I am curious to know – do you view management of Hybrid system as a challenge? Please share your thoughts in the comment section.
